Hello my Book Ravens and strangers on the internet, it’s been awhile!!

It’s been a BUSY couple of months. I’ve moved, I’ve begun a new job (a busy one at that), I’ve been doing a lot of behind the scenes work & negotiations, so on and so on and planning. And I won’t waste time jumbling around the points and I’m just going to dive straight at it. It is FINALLY time to talk about Ravenlight and Soul Fall in a GOOD light, because last year was a lot of uncertainty and- that uncertainty can FINALLY be put to bed.
And with it being I Love To Read Month (February) and with National Reading Month (March) approaching… it’s time for a new update to clarify everything.
Soul Fall
Lets start with Soul Fall, because that’s been the one with the most back and forth nonsense which has a literal trailer out that didn’t meet expectations.
BACKSTORY FOR THOSE UNAWARE!!!
2006/2007-2015: started with a couple friends. DND, Games, Roleplay, yada yada. Turned into 500+ people on Playstation Home with Avi’s. Story Telling and all.
2015-2018 or whatever: Home died, some of us moved to Facebook, we did new stuff, new group, more games and RP and stuff, less DnD
2018-202?: Dormant, nothing going on
202?-2025: We tried HARD, some of us, to come to a consensus and start a 3rd era. And as MANY who have followed will note, it was administrative Hell and the group fell apart a couple times because we couldn’t agree on anything or commit. Even had that trailer. Also I tried writing a spinoff for extra story/lore.
Today:
Well… new team, new plans. And the new team is funnily enough members from the original team. Right now the idea of a public group/community for people to join is KINDA dead in the water. Still in discussion about trying to do some sort of public Gamer/RP group but where we stand atm, it’s uncertain.
WE WILL, however, begin doing things together again and likely UPLOADING it under the Soul Fall- Veil of the Lost title/banner. And the good news is that the story direction has been decided PROPER now without administrative headaches so GUESS WHO IS FINALLY GONNA START WRITING NEW SOUL FALL CONTENT AGAIN!?!?!?
Featuring concepts from the others of course as I basically record our activity, which will be credited under each chapter.
And who knows- maybe in the future if we can draft in a few more people we might start up a public group again with the crew we have and start that 3rd Era. But for now- that’s going on the backburner in favor of us FINALLY doing things with our OCs. And they all want me to log our adventures (one other might even do this!!) so yee~
New chapters will start popping up by the start of March. Previously written content might get retconned or treated as a pilot, idk. See where it goes.
Ravenlight
And thus- Ravenlight.
This one has been a subject of discussion too. Brief reminder of history
2018- Birthed
2020- The now pilot was published
2021- Republished it, with an epilogue to test weekly chapters
2022-2023- I don’t remember. New planning, the decision to move away from traditional norms entirely and hire artists to do things to expand
2024- Failed launch which failed cuz, I had family pass away all at once, the lead artist disappeared, I wasn’t able to maintain the quality. Was gonna try again in the Spring.
2025- Slowdown, struggle with hiring more artists cuz AI, had MORE family drama happen, I moved, been swamped with work, lot of other stuff behind the scenes. Trying to put a trailer/teaser together and build the world anvil… but also decided to expand the plan and relaunch with a new canon.
So what does 2026 bring?
WELL- we have a NEW team at work (AureolinFlax, ShinyNeptune, and WonkyBeans) with more slots open for more to join mayhaps. And we’ve been plotting to do a trailer/teaser for relaunch after stuff with the old idea for a trailer fell through. And, this IS in development yet BUT we have a concept down and it’s just a matter of getting it put together.
I trust my team to do the absolute most fantastic job possible!!! I do not know when that trailer will launch (probably in a couple months cuz there’s a good few things to work into it, arts and all) but it’ll come eventually… and then, we try this again proper. After so many years, the story will be told anew and relaunched, and with new direction!!!
Art, music, etc. And a wiki (World Anvil) FULL of information to share!!!
I am looking forward to bringing Ravenlight to life and getting Elise’s story going. I will pay any expenses I have to to make this reality. And with any luck, we’ll pop off and create something magical that a lot of people will absolutely love and enjoy 😀

Basically in short, just getting the components made for this teaser/trailer, getting some extra stuff put together in the background, and moving forward!!

WELL FOLKS that should do it for now.
I just wanted to give a quick update on everything mostly even if there isn’t much to actually put forward. But enough is happening where I wanted to still give a proper update.
Soul Fall resumes SOON with a NEW team, and Ravenlight’s NEW ART TEAM will be delving into pure magic here in due time and we will be sharing~
