Hello there!!

(Edited Sept 14, 2025)
{NOTE!! We are not ‘actively’ seeking musicians or artists at present time. The positions are still ‘open’ but due to the immense number of AI submissions and art thieves who have applied we have to take a step back from active consideration of applications. You can certainly reach out via the socials or email but for now we are going to take a step back. We apologize.}
FSP is seeking Artists, Musicians, and if you can also do a little fancy video editing GREAT!!!
This is PRIMARILY for the Ravenlight Series, an upcoming project you can read about on this site. Basically a High Fantasy YA series about a young girl trying to grow stronger and find her way in a world of evil. There may be other smaller jobs, maybe doing things for associates of A. Stormsong (yes, paid).
What & Who We Are Looking For:
I want to work with someone who will be an acting partner in Ravenlight’s journey. I want someone I can give a general rundown of a concept to, and then BOOM- they’re able to take things away in their own way (with or without input).
I am fine with someone who doesn’t want to be ‘by the books’ as I’m certainly not the most professional professional. Though this should probably be treated as a business, I still look to it as a passion project, something that’s ever evolving.
If you’re worried about being too “new to the craft” or something of that sort, do not worry. I will happily work with new artists/musicians on this~
NO AI GENERATED CONTENT!!!!
What Artists Will Be Working ON:
1- Chapter Art, Manga-style (no color/B&W) or Sketched, no Backgrounds generally
2- Character Art, full or half body portraits for promo or WorldAnvil/Wiki
3- Promo Art and Cover Art, maybe posters
4- Small Animatic Animations
5- Emotes and such perhaps??
Art Style:
I’m looking at trying something simple, perhaps cartoony. Hollow Knight, Danny Phantom, Paper Mario even. These are some examples. This is NOT down to an exact science. Also as more ‘rpg’ elements are being incorporated into the world building, might swing with that as well.
Might go for some ultra-detailed or ‘anime-esc’ style for specific scenes or for specific promo material down the line.
Art Budget:
Chapter Art- $60 per panel tops
Character Art- $80 Tops
Promo Art- $300 tops or negotiable
Emotes/Other- Negotiable
Buget COULD change in time!!
What Musicians Will Be Working On:
I am looking to do more of an “RPG” story approach with Ravenlight. Some game mechanics translated into a canonical-story form, the adventuring, the art even, the inspiration. In turn these tracks/the OST would reflect that.
Examples of what I might do: Environment OSTs, Battle OSTs, Character OSTs, Event OSTs.
Music Style:
Negotiable but likely old school with an 8-bit, 16-bit, or 32-bit approach. Again, looking to take a on that “classic” RPG approach with the ost-work as in your Fire Emblem, your Final Fantasy, your Shining Force, etc.
“Why music for a novel series? Dunno, cuz it’ll add to the world and would be killer~”
Music Budget:
Negotiable. We were thinking $20-$30 per minute as our base. Perhaps less than $50 a track. This COULD be adjusted in the future.
Terms/Contract:
Copyright is a gem meant to protect everyone but can also be a complex mess so- there IS a contract which will be included for your reference. It’s based on and modified from Circular 30 or US Copyright law on “Work for Hire”. Only bringing this up due to things I’ve seen and what has been discussed with the current team.
By Default in simple terms…
Creators of the art or music are to ALWAYS be credited. Said credit will be put wherever it can be put (under the art wherever it is used, in the credits/description for music, etc). FSP is given the right to use the work ‘commercially’ (IE chapter art in the chapters, promoting Ravenlight with the art or music, hosting art on the wiki, etc) so long as it does not violate any agreements. This goes with the mentioned Circular 30 of US Copyright.
Circular 30 is being included/referenced to protect the Ravenlight IP as well as to protect the creators.
In the event that we part ways, credit will continue to be applied. Promotion of said creator (you the creator) will continue.
Ravenlight isn’t generating revenue CURRENTLY. We can either negotiate that right out of the gate or wait till revenue is generated (if it does or doesn’t). Future success will be attributed to art and music used to attract attention and elevate the project. I am leaving this up to the individuals and the team itself.
This outlines some of the default FSP agreement as of the time of writing this.

Further Details:
Please note that this is not currently a full time thing. There might be periods where there is no work, either due to budget (will do my best) or due to there being little going on (will also do my best). This is also not guaranteed to be permanent, pending what happens as production & release begins.
Requirements:
1- Due to all of the bots on the internet, we regretfully ask that you provide some manner of proof that you are not a bot or scammer using AI Generation or something of that accord. Time lapses of your work or a brief clip of working on something would likely suffice, likely with some form of code to make sure it’s YOUR time lapse and not stolen (we’ve seen even this before).
2- A valid way to get paid. Paypal, Venmo, whatever works. We (currently) can’t wire money or send checks.
